Get to know our story
My grandmother taught me that beauty can bloom even in difficult times. After the war, she created beaded jewellery to support our family in Hungary—each piece brought joy to women who wore them, and hope to us. Though she dreamed of traveling the world, she explored it through books and travel guides instead, sharing those stories with me as a child.
My mother carried this gift forward, transforming it into her own handcrafted creations and teaching me that true artistry combines manual skill with an instinct for beauty.
As I grew older, I fell in love with intricate beadwork techniques that transformed my passion into an art form. I was fortunate to travel and live across Europe and Asia, discovering the beauty my grandmother could only imagine—the turquoise waters of the Aegean, the gentle shores of the Baltic Sea, the warm earth tones of distant landscapes. These journeys opened my eyes to nature's extraordinary palette: gemstones formed over millennia, each carrying not only the colours of the earth but also its energy and healing properties.
Today, working from Northern Germany, I create diodió—handcrafted jewellery that honours both her legacy and my journeys. My daughter has learned the craft alongside me and helps bring our vision to life. Each of our collections captures the spirit of a place that moved me—from sun-drenched Mediterranean coastlines to the serene beauty of northern shores.
Every piece of diodió jewellery is crafted from genuine natural stones and carefully selected Japanese pearls: cooling amazonite from the shores, mysterious moonstone with its ethereal glow, earthy jasper in warm desert tones, luminous tiger eye, and deep black onyx. We choose each stone not only for its beauty but for the unique energy it carries. We believe that when you wear a piece, you're connecting with something deeper—the earth's wisdom, your own intuition, the story of where that stone came from.
As a jewellery designer, I love meeting customers at artisanal markets and festivals across Northern Germany. There's something magical about that moment when someone finds their treasure—when their eyes light up and I know a piece has found its person. These personal connections help me understand what women truly need and feel when they wear handmade jewellery. Each piece carries a part of my heart, and I believe that's what people feel when they choose to wear it.
